Genres are easier to define than they do for movies
Academics agree that genres are easier to identify than to define. Different countries and cultures have different ways of defining genres. War movies are a typical example. In the US, they are mostly related to movies with large U.S involvement in World wars and Vietnam, whereas in other countries, they are mostly related to movies about wars in other historical periods.
The Western Film Genre
Potential viewers can get some general hints about the subject matter and suitability of a film that is included in a recognized genre. The audience should expect to see cowboys on horseback in the American West during the 19th century if the film is described as a Western. There are certain stock characters and dramatic situations associated with a specific category, such as a sheriff, a villain and a saloon bartender in a Western.
Film genres are similar to other genres. A director can steer a film towards the end of a specific film genre by understanding what elements are expected. Some actors are associated with a specific category, as well as scriptwriters and directors.
The Adventure of Jack and Alec in a Graveyard
Some critics do not consider drama genre because it is too general, but it can be considered a genre. If the movie elements are serious and can't fit into a more limited genre, then it can be considered a drama. Movies have their own quirks.
Each movie is different. People can find a movie that they may be interested in watching by having a movie labeled in a genre. Many people like a certain genre of movies and only watch those in it.
The story is the situation that the characters are in and they are trying to get out of. The story has three parts. Chapter Three will include more discussion about those.
The background and actions of the characters will change as the stories are different. The plot is the same as the setting is dependent on the story. The comedy genre is complicated because of how outrageous and impossible the characters and story are in the movie.
The setting can be set in any time or place, and the plot is general. There are many different characteristics of screwball comedy. The Great Depression was the time when screwball comedy was most popular, and it contains class conflict between the middle and lower classes.

Describe the Genre of Your Screen
Either approach is valid. It can be dependent on the writer's process or on the specific script being written. The writer needs to be able to clearly state what genre of their script they are writing. Each genre can be thought of in broad terms that describe the emotion the audience will feel while watching that genre.

Nonfiction: A Type of Prose that is not Real
A type of prose that is not real is fiction. Authors can create a story based on their imaginations, which can include characters or events. The stories they tell are imaginative and can be based on true events.
Nonfiction is a type of prose that is factual. It may use less imaginative language because it is more factual. From piece to piece, nonfiction varies.
