The dancer needs to execute a jump with proper technique and execution. Knowing the correct measures when springing off the ground is the first step to improving your height, body alignment, and consistency.
Ballet Techniques and Alignment
The dance technique is one of the key elements of the training and it embodies the skills to develop in order to do the correct movement. In ballet, alignment is one of the main rules to respect. Awareness is also important as a repeated incorrect movement could lead the dancer to several injuries or even end up in a career end, depending on how intense the training is. Even if it seems like it, a single step is not performed in a random way.
Every single moment that you are dancing, your core must be engaged. That is correct. Every moment.
Your core should never flop even when you are flexing. Your core is the foundation of your body. No matter how fast or small the movement is, it should be clear and distinct.
It is worth doing clearly if a gesture is worth doing. Blurred movements look slurred. Transition moves need respect.
If your highlights are great and your transitions are weak, your dance will suffer greatly.
